SIC Insurance Company Limited has donated an amount of GH¢10,000 ($2,640) to the Otumfuo Education Fund.

The donation was made when a joint delegation from the SIC Insurance and the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Place.

The SIC delegation was led by the Acting Managing Director, Kwei Mensah Ashidam while the SWAG delegation was led by its President Kwabena Yeboah.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, in his remarks, commended SIC Insurance for showing commitment towards the development of education and capacity-building, especially in the insurance industry in Ghana.

“I have followed keenly most of the initiatives in education, health and other areas that Ghana’s insurance giant has supported to complement the development efforts of governments and communities,” he said.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II added that the commitment of SIC Insurance to sustainable development, especially in education is in line with his vision, stating “it is therefore proper for the company to support the Education Foundation.”
