The 1994-96 Year Group of St. Louis Senior High School Old Students Association (SLOPSA) commissioned a 1,000-seater dining hall for St. Louis Senior High School in Mampong, Ashanti. The GH¢400,000 project was presented to the school in Kumasi as part of activities marking the 25th homecoming anniversary of SLOPSA 1994-96 Year Group.
President of SLOPSA 1994-96 Year Group Ms. Serwaa Amo Mensah said the project was completed within a year with the support of the 1986 Year Group in particular, and other old students groups. The dining hall was dedicated to Ms. Lydia Osei, a former headmistress of St. Louis Senior High in honour of the motherly and mentorship role she played in the lives of the 1994-96 Year Group during their student years at St. Louis.
Ms. Lydia Osei thanked the school administrators and SLOPSA 1994-96 Year Group for honouring her. She was delighted to see the project dedicated to her honor while she was still alive.
Headmistress of St. Louis Senior High School Ms. Ama Kyerewaa Benefo expressed her appreciation to SLOPSA 1994-96 Year Group. Metropolitan Archbishop of the Kumasi Diocese of the Catholic Church Most Rev. Dr Justice Yaw Anokye commended the 1994-1996 Year Group and asked other groups to take a cue from them.
