SMT Ghana provided GHS7,100 worth of iron rods to support an ongoing project to build a two-unit classroom facility for Jerusalem M.A. Primary School in Tarkwa in Ghana’s Western Region. This gazetted assistance follows SMT Ghana’s previous donation of 75 bags of cement worth GHS3,000 in support of the same project in 2020. The donated iron rolds will assist in building the pillars and lentils of the facility.

The gazetted donation is part of SMT Ghana’s CSR commitment to support communities within the catchment area of the company’s operations. This is why Managing Director of SMT Ghana Mr. Alex Dutamby responded promptly when Jerusalem M.A. Primary School contacted SMT Ghana for assistance. Mr. Dutamby hopes that the resources provided to this point would help the school to provide adequate classrooms for its primary department, and thus help further the cause of promoting quality education.

Headmistress of Jerusalem M.A. Primary School Mrs. Agartha Adu received the iron rods and expressed gratitude to the company for supporting showing its readiness to support society in times of need.
