Old students of St. Roses Senior High School provided their alma mater with a new, furnished two bedroom staff bungalow for the school. National Chairperson for St. Roses Old

National Chairperson of St. Roses Old Students Association (ROSA) Mrs. Cynthia Amartey charged management of the school to ensure regular maintenance of property. Mrs. Amartey explained that the project was conceived seven years ago to help address staff housing challenges confronting the school.

Mrs. Marian Esi Jackson, Headmistress of St Roses Senior High, was appreciative of the gesture by the Old Girls and charged them to do more for their alma mater.

Mrs. Jackson described the significant pressure the school faces to provide housing for the increasing number of teachers who would be posted to the school in implementation of the the free senior high school policy. She noted that it was important to have staff resident on campus to enhance support and supervision of students.

Catholic Bishop of Koforidua Diocese Most Rev. Joseph Afrifa-Agyekum witnessed the commissioning of the building and lauded efforts of the old students.
