Staff of L’Oréal West Africa in Accra undertook a clean-up exercise at  La Beach as part of this year’s edition of L’Oreal West Africa’s annual ‘Citizen’s Day’. The clean-up outreach is in line with Ghana’s environmental sanitation policy, which calls for community participation in ensuring proper sanitation.

Mr. Sekou Coulibaly, General Manager of L’Oréal West Africa, said it was an honour for L’Oreal staff team to contribute to the beautification of the iconic beach. Mr. Coulibaly explained that, as beauty practitioners, the choosing to beautify the beach on ‘Citizen’s Day’ was especially fitting. He said the choice of outreach exemplified L’Oreal’s commitment to contribute towards the aesthetic values that make us great as a people both on the inside and out.

Since 2010, L’Oréal has mobilised its staff on ‘Citizen’s Day’ to devote one working day in a year towards making a difference in communities across the markets they operate in. L’Oreal is proud of the difference it had made in the lives of people through its ‘Citizen’s Day’ initiative and looks forward to more years of giving back.
