“We care about the welfare of our stakeholders and the people around us. That is why at Stanbic Bank, corporate social initiatives are integral to our operations. Education/training remains an effective tool to a self-sustainable country and can lessen and possibly eradicate the inequality gap on many levels, hence our pledge to support the reformation of these young offenders”, Mrs. Illiasu added.
Assistant Director of Prisons and Officer-in-Charge of the Senior Correctional Centre Mrs. Millicent Owusu received the package of supplies and expressed gratitude to Stanbic Bank for the support. Mrs. Owusu thanked the Legal Department staff for responding to the Centre’s appeal for support and prayed God’s blessings on them.
This gazetted assistance follows an earlier outreach to the Centre in which staff of Stanbic Bank Ghana’s Legal Department visited the centre and donated various grocery, stationery and toiletry supplies. The assistance is part of the Bank’s social interventions across Ghana which forms part of Stanbic Bank’s Employee Community Initiative (ECI). The initiative encourages staff of the Stanbic Bank Ghana to identify critical social issues within their immediate communities that the bank could help address.
