In addition, Stellar Group committed to sponsor heart surgeries for three children in 2019.

Mr. Patrick McQuaid, Managing Director of Stellar Group, said when Stellar Group learnt about the great work CHF Ghana was doing, it was an easy decision to support the Foundation’s work. Mr. McQuaid noted that environmental sustainability, direct donations, economic responsibility, and ethical business practice constitute the foundation of Stellar’s CSR. Stellar Group resolved to deepen its CSR programming in Ghana through regular support of initiatives that will impact society positively and transform lives.

Every year, some 200 children are diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease (CDH) in Ghana. Often, many families cannot afford the costly medical bills for heart surgery for their children. The CHF Ghana works closely with the National Cardiothoracic Centre at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to identify and assist families that are in the most need of support. Since 2009, CHF Ghana has raised over GHS10 million to pay for heart surgeries for more than 200 children.

Stellar Group operates three subsidiaries in Ghana namely Stellar Travel, Stellar Logistics and Stellar Hospitality..
