The Givers donated soft drinks, biscuits, toothpastes, toothbrushes, toiletries, cleaning supplies and other essentials supplies to the Osamkrom Prison in Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

The outreach was part of the club’s commitment to assist the less privileged in society. This is part of the club’s commitment to implement projects that provide positive outcomes for people living in isolated and obscure communities across the country.

Founder of the club Mrs. Cynthia B. Kumah said the club selected inmates of Osamkrom Prison Camp because it was little unknown compared to other prisons in the country and it therefore attracted fewer visits from philanthropic individuals and organisations.

Mr Albert A. Korboa, chairman of the club, encouraged the inmates about prospects of a brighter life ahead where inmates would be integrated into society so they would have the chance again to contribute to the betterment of society.

ASP Elijah Koomson received the items on behalf of the Officer-in-Charge of  camp and thanked club members for the gift.
