The Lord’s Garden Ministries distributed rice, cooking oil, hand sanitizers and other essentials to people in need at the church’s premises in Accra. The free groceries will help vulnerable individuals and families weather through the COVID-19 pandemic partial lock down in Accra.
Rev. Tim Kojo Sam, Head Pastor of The Lord’s Garden Ministries – Liberty Centre Branch said the pubic outreach will be replicated in other branches of the church. Rev. Sam explained that the goal of the church is to fulfill the mission of the church by reaching out to people no matter their condition and bringing them to Christ.
Apostle Lyanne Koffi, Founder & General Overseer of The Lord’s Garden Ministries, said Christians and the church must learn to always give to demonstrate the love of God. Apostle Koffi noted that in the extraordinary times of spreading COVID-19 pandemic, Christians who deliberately refuse to reach out to people in need cannot claim to be Christians indeed.
So this is the time for believers to show the love of God by reaching out. If you look around you, see people who are in need on the streets and in our communities. Every Christian must make sure we share what we have. – Apostle Lyanne Koffi
Apostle Koffi also referenced scripture to make the point that a person cannot claim to love God and fail to provide help to someone in need, even when they have the means or capacity to do so.
