Staff of Total Ghana Ltd have made a cash donation of GHC8,000 (1,830) to help victims of the June 3 fire and flood disaster.

Retail Network Territory Manager for Total Ghana, George Kofi Aikins, said the donation is in response to Joy FM’s campaign to get support for survivors of the disaster that claimed over 150 lives and destroyed properties.

“We were touched by the June 3rd twin disaster and internally as a corporate organization the employees came together to raise some funds…We solicited funds from employees and today we are here to do our donation in cash”, he said Monday June 29.

He said staff decided to make the cash donation to Joy FM because of the station’s brand credibility.

“Joy FM having a good platform and having the integrity and trust, we can associate with such a broadcaster to execute this objective for us. Basically that is the main reason why we chose Joy FM and supported Joy FM in this campaign”, he said.

Total Ghana joins Nallem Clothing, Engene Petroleum, Barclays Service Excellence Department, and many public-spirited organizations to support Joy FM’s campaign to support the fire and flood victims.

Joy FM, with support from its listeners and partners, have so far distributed bales of clothes, truckloads of foods, water, soaps, detergents, bags of rice, medicines among others.
