The UBA Ghana Foundation launched its maiden food bank outreach, which provided ready-to-eat meals to some 800 individuals in need of assistance in the Madina Community of Accra. Head of Marketing at UBA Ghana Mr. Emmanuel Efo Dzakpasu said reaching out to people in need of assistance was important to UBA Ghana, which explained why bank executives were actively involved, serving meals to community residents.
Mr. Dzakpasu noted that Christmas was a season of sharing and giving and UBA Ghana chose to celebrate the occasion by reaching out people in the streets. Some beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to the bank and its employees for their thoughtfulness and care. He announced that the initiative will be made permanent on an ongoing annual basis. There are also plans to rotate the UBA Ghana Food Bank in order to spread the benefit to other communities.
