The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) Ghanbatt 5, mainly comprising troops from 1 Signal Regiment, donated hospital equipment to the Duala Medical Centre.
The gift package included 3 hospital beds , 2 ward screens, 3 bedside lockers, 3 Infusion stands, a 40″ TV set, 3 BP monitors, 1 Fingertip pulse oximeter, 10 Corridor chairs, office chairs and 2 trash bins.
The gift would both support and help improve on quality of healthcare at the centre and would create a congenial environment for both civilians and soldiers.
Commanding Officer of 1 Signal Regiment Lt. Col. Andrews Oduah presented the medical equipment to Commanding Officer of 37 Military Hospital Col. Obodai and Head of Nurses Lt. Owusu-Aidoo.
The officers thanked GHANBATT 5 for their support and encouraged them to continue with the good work to improve the health conditions in the GAF.
