The United States Military in Ghana presented a set of 40 desks to the L and A Memorial Academy at Gbawe in Accra.
The gift follows an appeal by the school to US Ambassador to Ghana Robert P. Jackson.

Major Adam Thomas of the US Army said the gift was a call to serve. He noted that it was part the US Army’s civic duty to put smiles on the faces of the kids of the L and A Memorial Academy.

Major Thomas said the outreach was also intended to foster cooperation between the two countries and to enhance the unblemished relationship.

Headmaster of the school Mr. Stephen Donkor expressed gratitude to the US Army for the donation.
