Vida Bethel Prayer Ministry  at Aprade in Oforikrom Municipality of Ashanti Region and its leader Prophetess Vida Osei Mensah donated GHS100,000 to the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) to support ten health centres in the region fight the spread of COVID-19. The donated funds will be used to purchase critically needed hospital supplies for for Sepe Buokrom Health Centre, KNUST Hospital, Nkawie-Toase Hospital, Kuntenase Hospital and Manhyia Government Hospital and five additional institutions to be selected by ARCC.

Dr. Angela Osei-Mensah, a medical doctor and daughter of Prophetess Vida Mensah, said the gift was the church and her mother’s token contribution to the broader national effort. She said Prophetess Osei Mensah’s desired to see beneficiary healthcare centres being properly resourced to attend to people who go to seek care.

Dr. Osei Mensah said the threat of the disease was real and urged individuals and organizations with the means to support the efforts of government to respond adequately to the pandemic. Ashanti Regional Minister Mr. Simon Osei Mensah thanked the Prophetess and Vida Bethel Prayer Ministry for their kindness and show of support, which is crucial for the challenge on hand. MP for Manhyia North Mr. Collins Owusu Amankwah also commended the Prophetess and the church for the gift and called on all citizens to support the fight institutions and the personnel leading the charge.
