Vodafone Ghana Foundation, with support from the Human Resource Department of Vodafone Ghana and the cross-functional Vodafone Spirit Team, reached out to Maamobi General Hospital in Accra with a package of donated hospital equipment and essential supplies. The assistance package included wheelchairs, N95 respirators, bleach, antibacterial soap, hand sanitizers, surgical face masks, alcohol rub, and tissue paper.

Human Resource Director of Vodafone Ghana Hannah Ashiokai Akrong described the assistance as part of the company’s activities marking Vodafone Spirit Day. “We are excited to contribute these items to help the Maamobi Hospital deliver quality healthcare,” Ms. Akrong said.

“On Vodafone Spirit Day, we reflect on the beliefs we stand for and the key behaviours that help us make our strategy and purpose a reality. We also connect with the communities in which we operate by embarking on socially impactful initiatives.”

Dr. Prince Emmanuel Daitey, Clinical Care Coordinator of Maamobi General Hospital, received the gift package and thanked Vodafone Ghana for the assistance. “Many organisations focus on the larger hospitals when donating, but we are very grateful that you remembered us. We believe that this is the beginning of a deep relationship between us as you continue your good work in Ghana.” Dr. Daitey said.
