Vodafone Ghana launched a nation-wide coding programme for young people between ages 14 to 18. The project is consistent with the company’s vision to spearhead Ghana’s digital revolution.

Vodafone CEO Yolanda Cuba said the programme will prepare young people to become the next generation of Ghanaian and African digital creators.

Ms. Cuba announced that the national coding programme will to reach some 500 people across all the ten regions of Ghana by the end of the financial year and train about 10,000 youth over a five-years period.

Deputy Minister of Communications Vincent Sowah, launched the programme and lauded Vodafone for taking the lead with the initiative.
