SSNIT Ladies Club in the Volta Region gave the children’s ward of the Ho Municipal Hospital GHȼ1,500 worth of essential supplies.

The gift included soft drinks, two boxes of biscuits, 32 bed sheets, 10 packs of toilet roll, 3 gallons of laundry detergent, four gallons of liquid soap, five gallons of bleach and antiseptic.

Mrs. Evelyn Aborgah, President of SSNIT Ladies Club, said the club chose the Municipal Hospital because of its child-friendly facilities and the increasing number of children that need help at the hospital.

Ms. Believe Nyanu, deputy nurse-in-charge of the ward said the donated supplies were invaluable because some mothers come to the ward with nothing and commended the Club for the foresight.

Ms. Rebecca Teye, nurse-in-charge of the children’s ward expressed appreciation to the Club and appealed for bed side lockers for the ward.
