The 1994 class of Wesley Girls High School (WGHS 94) refurbished the female ward of Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital in Cape Coast, which is 7km from their alma mater. The alumni group also donated 20 mattresses valued at GHC12,000 Ghana.

The outreach was supported by Latex Foam Ghana Ltd, which provided the medium-sized, leather-draped mattresses.

Spokesperson for WGHS 94 Ms. Anita Keteku Arkutu explained that the alumni group reached out to give back to society on the occasion of their 25th year of graduating from Wesley Girls High School in Cape Coast.

The Public Relations Officer of Latex Foam Ms. Gifty Appiah said the company was proud to partner with the alumni group in support of the group’s initiative to improve the conditions of mental health patients. Ms. Arkutu thanked Latex Foam for the support.
