Yinson Production built an eight-person capacity KVIP toilet facility for students of Kejibril Cluster of Schools in Ahanta West. At the commissioning, the company also presented a gift of sanitary supplies and sports equipment to students in two School Circuits.
The toilet facility addressed critical toileting problems for the school children. Hitherto, students left school premises and headed home in order to go use the washroom. The lack of washroom facilities at school was more burdensome for female students, especially during their monthly periods.
Mr. Edward Mensah, Corporate Social Responsibility and Local Content Manager at Yinson Production, said the facility should help school children stay in school during school hours and focus on their studies.
Mr. Mensah affirmed the company’s commitment to invest in Ghana’s younger generation through social intervention projects.
Mrs. Beatrice Attafuah, Headmistress of Kejibril JHS was grateful to Yinson Production for responding to such an urgent need of the school children.
Mr. Mark A. Abetekey, Ahanta West Municipal Director of Education, also commended Yinson for making an important impact in the lives of the children.
Mr. Victor Mensah, a Municipal Works Engineer who supervised the construction of the toilet facility called for proper maintenance to prolong the facility’s lifespan.
